ISLANDS AND JOBS
Each island has a list of available job postings and numeric value beside them indicating how many islanders currently hold those jobs.
We place Loose limits on how many jobs are available per island HOWEVER there may not be more than 5 of one given job on all the islands combined (Except for farmers/ranchers because this is harvest moon y'all) This is meant to keep our character pool diverse and unique. There are plenty of job options to go around!
Example: There are 2 wizards on serseri, 2 on nomie, and one on Ki. Even if there's a job slot available for a wizard on Anura, because we already have 5, that spot would be voided.
We would prefer no more than three of the same job class on a single island, but there should be no more than 5 of the same jobs on all 5 of the islands!
These are suggestions, but we're very open to new ideas for jobs, or even making a job available on another island. For the latter option, we would only ask that you provide some reasonable explanation
Example: Your character is a risk taker and thinks a nightclub on the frozen tundra of Spokane's icy side of the island would be a great idea! Who are we to judge.....
With that being said we are a little more strict with requesting job classes-
please refrain from requesting for fantasy characters that aren’t usually found within the game such as anthro animals, vampires, elves, dwarves, swamp ogres, trolls, etc.
*** There is a rare exception to this found by way of CURSES (cast by a witch/wizard character) Additionally, this curse would have to have NEGATIVE EFFECTS. For this to occur, you would need to place a request to the leaders and sprites so they can discuss whether it would fit in the theme of HMRRI
Some Islands are more populated than others. Please consider one of the less populated islands when choosing where to place your character! They need loving too! Along with this, some jobs are going woefully forgotten while we have multiples of others. We highly encourage folks to try and pick job titles that haven’t been filled yet since this would add to the diverse cast of our islands!
Special Classes
In the HM universe, some bachelors/bachelorettes were considered "special" marriage candidates and they tended to be a little more fantasy-like in their makeup (think Witch Princess, Leia, Keria the Cave Dwelling Princess, and the Harvest Goddess) We wanted to make special classes available like wizards, mermaids, ghosts, witches and pirates, but we acknowledge that these classes are a little special in comparison to the run-of-the-mill farmer (and we mean that as no slight to farmers.) If you choose one of these special classes, we expect your app to be extra thorough. Please do not try and mix special classes and create a witch mermaid or pirate wizard. That really begins to muck with the group lore. That being said, we can consider a side gig for characters that would need an income.
CHILDREN: We have playable children characters, but please be aware that playing a child might mean that you're unable to take part in certain group events, especially ones involving alcohol.
